Which age groups do you work with? I've worked in primary, secondary, sixth form and HE settings.
Why arrange a school visit? School visits can be a great way for students - including aspiring writers - and teachers to meet and talk to a practising author. For some, a visiting author can alter their whole view on reading, writing, literature, self-expression, on life.

What are your visits like? My visits aim to be enjoyable, accessible, inspiring and creative for all those involved. I’m an experienced workshop leader with an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes, but if there’s anything I can do to increase accessibility and inclusiveness in my sessions, please let me know.

Will you travel? Yes, I'll travel (and will charge mileage or transport costs).

What are your fees? Please contact me for a quote. I have rates which can be negotiated depending on your organisation and needs.

Where do you work? I've worked in residential care, mental health and hospital contexts.
Why creative writing? "“We are not used to trusting out bodies (our writing hands); we are not used to trusting our creative selves. But they are entirely trustworthy. What can a poet offer our workplace? Creative and reflective writing can offer a great way for teams to reconnect, rediscover their expressive sides and gain fresh personal and professional insights. They'll leave feeling energised, heard and with fresh outlooks.
What would your sessions be like? I ensure there are options to inspire, include and motivate all. We'll talk this through carefully, to fit your team's needs. Often we'll create group poems, which I can have beautifully riso printed as a testament to your business taking the time to nurture creativity and connection.

Collaboration FAQ

Who do you collaborate with? I've worked with climate scientists, biologists, dancers, filmmakers, illustrators...For me, the really interesting stuff happens between and across disciplines.

What if we haven't gotten any funding yet? I'm open to speculative ideas, so if you'd like to get in touch to unpack a project and how we might make it viable - including funding it - then I'm open to contact. If it's something I really want to be involved in, I'll help develop and apply for funding.
